Messier 51, also known as NGC5194 and NGC5195, located in Canes Venatici in the northern circumpolar sky. Its distance is estimated to be 23 million light-years away from Earth. They are a pair of galaxies that interact with each other under the influence of gravity. It has a distinct spiral structure that resembles a tentacled snail. In the long history of the vast universe, there are various types of galaxies pulling, colliding, and merging with each other, as if telling how the galaxies have evolved through time.
