From October to April each year, the northeast monsoon climbs over the Central Mountains and falls on the Hengchun Peninsula, forming a strong downhill wind, which is a rare geographical phenomenon in the world. Wind has no smell, no colour, no trail, but the way it is formed varies from artificial mechanical power (such as electric fans) and natural pressure difference. Yet, we cannot keep it. Now taking advantage of the downhill wind season, I use photography to record its traces, with its rotations, straight lines, and staggering paths...
On December 30, 2018, when the northeast monsoon climbed over the Central Mountains and descended at Haikou Port, Checheng Town, Hengchun Peninsula, I used a Nikon Df camera with a shutter of 1/160 second to photograph the power of the wind to draw on the beach, as if the passing time is recording its trail. Its post processing only included adjusting brightness, contrast, colour scale, saturation, exposure and other items, and there was no cropping.
