隸屬於瓜科 (Cucurbitaceae) 的合子草 (Actinostemma tenerum Griff.) 其果實是非常特別的蓋裂蒴果，並因此得名。生長在臺灣西部平地的水田邊，但是近年來面臨著農地的面積與品質的縮減，導致族群日益稀少。本作品以彩色的植物照片呈現植物的細部構造能夠提供更精確的資訊，將植物不同的部位搜集于同一張圖版中，能夠令植物的美與特徵一目了然。並利用略逆光的打燈技巧，呈現花序上透亮的毛狀體，並且搜集從花苞到果實等不同階段的植物形態。

The Actinostemma tenerum Griff., which belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family, has a very special capsule fruit which gave the plant its name. It grows near paddy fields on flat land in western Taiwan. But in recent years, due to the reduction in acreage and quality of agricultural land, there is a decrease of the species. This work presents the detailed structure of the plants with colourful botanical photos, which can provide more accurate information. Collecting different parts of the plant onto the same template made the beauty and specialty of the plant clear at a glance. And slight backlit lighting techniques are used to show the translucent trichomes on the inflorescence, and collect the morphology of the plant at different stages from buds to fruits.

2017年11月12日攝於台中，以NIKON D7100與105 mm Micro的微距鏡拍攝，與環形閃光燈 (SIGMA EM-140 DG) 及一個光觸發之外閃打光。平均光圈f/22，快門1/60秒，ISO-100。以Photoshop CC 2018軟體去背、裁切、翻轉，以及微調整亮度與對比，並拼貼于同一張影像中。
