等待雨天，為什麼呢？因為這是一種很特別的青蛙卵，牠媽媽並沒有把牠產在水裡，而是產在泥土地上。牠是靠著夏日雨後雷陣雨將牠帶到水域裡。太早容易缺氧淹死，太晚容易幹死。只有像這個時候，蝌蚪外鰓已經長出可以在水中呼吸及遊動，這時候牠們殷殷期盼雨天的來臨，豐沛的雨水融化牠們的卵膜將牠們，將牠們沖到水域內，讓牠們在水中過另一個階段的蝌蚪生活期。

Waiting for the rain, why? Because this is a very special type of frog egg, its mother did not lay it in the water, but on the mud. It relies on thunder storms in the summer to bring it into the waters. If it is too early, it will be easily drowned by hypoxia, and it gets dried up if too late. Only in times like this, when the outer gills of the tadpoles are developed for them to breathe and swim in the water, they look forward to the coming of a rainy day, so they can enter the next stage of their lives in water.
