在盈江夜探的過程中，我們偶遇了這條正在過馬路的蛇。只見車燈照射下的馬路中間，一條蛇正在慢慢滑動。我們手忙腳亂地沖出了車仔細觀察它。這條小蛇渾身橙紅色，如同塗抹胭脂的女子般妖豔多姿，像是《白蛇傳》中小青的粉紅姐妹。三角形的頭、大大的瞳孔、在地面活動的姿態，我們很快判斷出這是一種林蛇。但，這麼漂亮的蛇，是誰呢？我們左問右問專家，終於得到了讓我驚訝的答案——暹羅林蛇，而且，這很可能是中國的第一筆記錄（上一筆在印控區，是否是中國領土仍有爭議）、雲南第一筆記錄！無疑，我們偶遇的這條暹羅林蛇，將為中國蛇類記錄添上漂亮的一筆。

During a night visit of Yingjiang, we came across this snake crossing the road. In the middle of the road illuminated by the street lights, it slowly slides through. We rushed out the car to observe this beauty. This little snake is covered in an orange-red colour, as glamorous as a woman who has rouge smeared upon her skin, like Xiao Qing's pink sister in "The Story of White Snake". With its triangular head, the large pupils, and the posture of moving on the ground, we quickly determined that this was a forest snake. But who is such a beautiful snake? We asked the experts left and right and finally got the answer that surprised me – Siamese forest snake, and this is likely to be China's first record (the last one is in India-controlled area, whether it is Chinese territory is still controversial), Yunnan's first record! No doubt, this Siamese forest snake we encountered will be a beautiful addition to the China’s snake record.

This photo was taken at 9:41 on April 6, 2018, in Yingjiang, Yunnan Province, China. The device is a Canon 6D, and the lens is a 90mm Tamron macro lens, with iso1600, aperture 6.3. Later, Snapseed software was used to do some simple processing, including cropping, fine-tuning white balance, local lighting and saturation.
